This cross-association, interdisciplinary panel elaborates on the current Canadian government’s science policy, access to information, the ability of government scientists to communicate freely with each other, the public, and the media. It also addresses the dangers posed to democratic engagement and participation through the erection of bureaucratic and other boundaries.
